I believe I had the best time of all. I played golf on Friday with three 'RINGERS" Lacey,Darrel, and 'Lady Sharron, Won $2.00 off Lacey and collected . More, I still live to tell you it happened. We had a great game on Sat. Four teams. The match ended in a tie . We all kissed and said we would see each other in five years. It is difficult to beat  Lacey and his team. He loads up, Himself, DARREL , Lady Sharron. All who play 6 days each week. My team consisted of and 82 year old coach who has had two knee operations and two hip replacements. Mallory who  played one time this year. Jones played three times. WHAT  A HEROIC EFFORT BY MY TEAM.    Friday and Sat. night both were great. What a way to spend a weekend, with wonderful high school classmates.   How could you not enjoy. Regards Ron THOMASON

Who had the most fun at the Princeton High School 50th class reunion last week?  I have talked to several people about our reunion, I could nominate Stan Elmore, Richard Sivley, Ed Wiley, Shirley Barrett, Wilma Davis, Gypsie Shumaker or myself we have all proclaimed we had a great time.  I cast my vote for Ronnie Bailey as having the best time at our reunion.

Paul Askew rode his bicycle from his home at Clayton Lake to Pipestem with the execption of the segment from Princeton to Athens (road is just to curvey, narrow and dangerous).  I was suppose to talk about the trip at the reunion but did not make a note of it and forgot.   Paul please accept my sincere apology.

WOW   What a weekend, only one problem, it was over too soon!  I hope that everyone of you enjoyed the time spent together as much as I did.  PLEASE keep in touch with each other and leave notices on the website when you can.

At our monthly get together we decided to have a reunion the first weekend in May, 2023.  It will be held in Princeton and we will send out the details in January.    The decision was made because we have lost so many class members and have so many with bad health.   If you check the Memorial page you will see that we have lost 117 that we know about at this time.  That is close to half of the class.   We hope you will join us in May as we celebrate the great class of 1959.

What a wonderful PHS 60th reunion!  Thank you to all who planned and worked to make it happen.  Being in touch with high school friends (and for many of us childhood friends) and reminiscing is such fun.  As an “out-of-towner” I really appreciate the reunions. 8F

I think these class reunions are very special and a time to come together to renew high school friendships.  Happy 50th reunion to you all, and God Bless.

class of 61--Great job on the web site--a little more trivia--I also lived next door to the Anita Drive Inn theatre--watched many people climb out of the car trunks after dark!!  My neighbors and I, Larry Watkins, Larry Raines, Harold Phillips, Jim Linkous, etc. would watch the movies on my garage roof.  good times!  sad that only one Drive Inn is left--Pipestem.

comment by Shirley Barrett Anderson

You are doing a great job on the reunion. Thanks for all the hard work, and really look forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks to all who worked to make the 55 th year reunion a success. Not many classes have such an opportunity. A special thanks and appreciation to Patty and Paul for the presentation and program remembering classmates who have passed, some of which would have been there if had the opportunity. Perhaps, I was more moved by their presentation because one (John Flanigan) was also my brother. For those who can, dont miss the next opportunity!

Army ministry with my wife, Evelyn. Now retired in Newnan, GA.  Looking forward to the reunion.   P.S.  great website indeed !
